Looking for a movie to watch tonight ? Here is my TOP of the best wine films that make you want to visit vineyards !

If I hadn't decided to make a blog dedicated to the world of wine, I would most certainly have done it on the cinema. In my opinion, wine and cinema share a common thing : both have the ability - with a single sip or a scene - to take you far beyond the back of your seat. We like to share them and discuss this experience.

Of course, what a top 5 is limited to the film that I saw. You have certainly seen other films devoted to wine that deserve to appear in this top. Liking a movie is very subjective, just like loving a wine. This article will certainly be the least objective of this blog. This post is just to take a look back at some of the best important movie experiences I've had. While waiting to see more, look back at the films on wine that I have already seen.

1 – Documentary : Insecticide, my love (2015)

Documentary by Guillaume Bodin with Emmanuel Giboulot, Jean-Michel Aubinel, Thibault Liger Belair.

Guillaume Bodin a 26 years, he was a producer and wine worker in Saône-et-Loire when he was the victim of compulsory insecticide treatments against the flavescence dorée leafhopper. As it is impossible to be heard, he then decides to quit his job and investigate the matter ! He goes to meet many players in the wine and scientific world such as Emmanuel Giboulot and Thibault Liger Belair, these winegrowers who refused to treat with insecticides. Or Jean-Marc Bonmatin, CNRS researcher and whistleblower on the catastrophic effects of the use of this type of pesticides on the environment. The couple Claude and Lydia Bourguignon provide a lot of information on the impact of these chemicals on soil fauna. However, it is not all so gloomy in this case, however, since a collective of winegrowers is trying to move the file towards greater respect for the environment.

A documentary to be enjoyed with a glass of organic wine of course !

2 – Documentary : Somm (2013)

Documentary by Jason Wise with Bo Barrett, Shayn bjornholm, Dave Cauble.
