Who are we ?

More than a vocation, wine is a passion for me. As a wine merchant, my greatest pleasure is to transmit every day. Whether during family dinners or during aperitifs with friends, wine is a vehicle for discussion and reflection. What do we feel through its tasting ? Which wine will reveal all the subtlety of our meal ? As sophisticated as it is, so complex it may seem; wine is one of those social drinks that forces sharing. Knowledge and passion are only of interest in sharing !

Why did you create this blog ?

Discover the mystery of the grape varieties and their aromas, give the keys necessary to appreciate the variety of wine tastes, to serve it at the right temperature, with suitable glasses and with dishes that will enhance them ... so much information intended to make the world of wine more accessible. Wine is such a vast area that it is impossible to get bored or to walk around it. Indeed, there is always a new mystery to unravel, a bottle to discover, a vintage that surprises us. It is with this in mind that I created in 2015 the Fine Wines blog.

What is my background in the world of wine ?

Freshly landed in Paris in 2013, I enrolled out of curiosity for wine courses organized by sommelier Philippe Berger. Discovering the magic of wine was a real revelation. The next year, I validated the Wine Management diploma issued by the Dijon Business School and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust diploma.

The story behind Beaux-Vins…

Too often, connoisseurs tend to drown neophytes with incomprehensible information, even laughable. Without knowing, someone gave me the keys to creating this blog. During a tasting, this connoisseur found a taste of embers in the wine we drank together. "Who has ever tasted an embers to express this truth ? »Was my first thought… I then created this blog to facilitate understanding of the world of wine, sometimes obscure ! This is how Sieur Beaux-Vins was born. Under his pompous looks that could intimidate, he is just a bit gruff beef…
