The passing of Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister

The singer of the well-known group Motörhead died of old age on the night of Monday to Tuesday 28 December at the age of 70 years. While one could easily imagine another death for this legendary rocker, it's neither alcohol nor drugs, but cancer which is responsible for his death. This is only the 26 last December the singer discovered he was ill. The dizziness of this news moved the entire musical planet.

At the same time, the announcement of a Motörhead wine

This news will certainly give Swedish fans of the British heavy metal band some comfort.. Indeed, the group announced the release of an Australian wine Motörhead in bag-in-box format.

This is not the first time that stars have tried wine. We had already seen Sting, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt or Rocco Siffredi. Series like Downton Abbey or films like Fifty Shades of Gray have embarked on the wine adventure. Today, it's the heavy metal band's turn to get on with it. Other rock groups had embarked on the adventure, like AC / DC, Iron Maiden, or Slayer. Motörhead launches their very first wine which they called Sacrifice Shiraz.

This wine produced in South West Australia and from the Shiraz grape is unfortunately only available in Sweden at the moment.. Why Sweden ? Simply because it is the world's largest consumer of wine in cubicles.. according to different sources, the wine would be full-bodied and spicy with aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant.

A wine banned in Iceland

The Sacrifice Shiraz is not the only official drink of the group. Indeed, Motörhead also has a rosé wine, a vodka and a beer called Bastards Lager, brewed in Sweden since June 2012.

Icelandic authorities have already banned in January 2012 the marketing of bottles of the group's rosé wine. According to them, this wine would justify a bad image linked to references to the war, unprotected sex and drug addiction. — According to the authorities, more or less the lyrics of the songs of the group —.

The Swedes therefore seem more permissive than the Icelanders. Already in 2011, the country had authorized the sale of more than 130’000 Motörhead wine bottles.

I am waiting to see the day when the group will explode cubis of wine on stage!
