Hélène's Wines, it is first and foremost a person : Helene Martin-Vivier. She shapes her vision of the wine industry during 20 years with the Domaines barons de Rothschild before joining Decanter Magazine. She has also surrounded herself with great names in the world of wine such as Franck Thomas, best sommelier in France and Europe 2000.

A place, an invitation to travel

There is little, I was invited by Les Vins d´Hélène to meet around twenty people to participate in a tasting workshop at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris. At the beginning, I was surprised by the choice of place. Why do a wine tasting in a museum ? To live an emotional journey !

Hélène works in places where you don't expect her : museums, galleries, a concert. His idea : combine the beautiful and the good in a tailor-made moment.

Inaugurated by André Malraux, the Hôtel de Guénégaud brings together collections on the close relationship between man and his natural environment.

Accompanied by a guide, we discover a selection of works of art. Paintings, tapestries and installations that are not chosen at random : they are the gateways leading to the tasting. We talk about what we see there, of what these works make us feel.

Kate MccGwire's Vex sums up the experience well. While the guide asked us what we saw there, some saw birth in this form, others oppression or fear. Here, no wrong answers : we talk about what we feel, tongues loosen, sharing begins.

We walk in the Museum, discovering and discussing the four works of art. We discover each other as when traveling with friends.

A tasting, the culmination of the trip

Once this artistic immersion is over, it's time to travel to the heart of his taste. Around a table, we discover beautiful wines blindly associated with beautiful dishes in a friendly atmosphere.

We let ourselves be transported by the smells, flavors, but above all by our emotions and memories, real sources of inspiration for talking about Great Wines. We taste the wine, we associate it with a dish, well beyond a classic tasting : we associate wine with one of the works of art. This is the beauty of the tastings organized by Les Vins d´Hélène !

We're not here as an oenologist talking about the aroma wheel, vintages and grape varieties : one reveals oneself and others over a glass of wine.
