Learning to taste wine is an exercise that takes a lot of practice. It is not an obvious thing to describe a wine… Imagine having to describe the aromas of coffee to someone who has never tasted it. For it, you will have to express the sensations provided by smelling and tasting it. You will need to find descriptors that he knows so that he can imagine what coffee might taste like..

Learning to taste wine is no more complicated than that ! Some tasters will try to use complicated words to show their superiority. With fine wines, we will rather seek simplicity to properly initiate yourself to tasting.

Tasting is a very personal thing because it calls for your own experience. You won't smell coffee the same as I do and that's okay. Just because your neighbor at the table thinks a wine tastes like cherry doesn't mean you have to agree with him.

Know the method to follow and the fundamentals of tasting should help you express your feelings. Here, you will be able to understand how to look, smell or taste a wine. With a little practice, you will refine your senses and your vocabulary to excel in this exercise. But before it comes to this, here are the basics to know to taste well !
