As I announced to you below, the tabloids announced the sale of the Château de Miraval. Finally, although the couple is divorced, they decided to keep the estate in Provence.

After spending a holiday in the field, they ended up buying the walls and land for 45 millions of euros. The children of the family come to run in the ultra-secure park, Brad Pitt is doing major renovations to install a spa, or even a gym. It is in fact at the Chateau de Miraval that the couple will eventually get married in 2014. With so many memories, it is understandable that it is difficult to part with it.
Brad Pitt didn't want to sell
Despite all the memories of the Brangelina, the divorce almost took everything in the waves. Angelina Jolie reportedly wanted to sell the commons she shares with Brad Pitt to move to London. The sale of the Miraval estate
Eight years after buying the Miraval castle estate, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have already decided to part ways.
After spending a few vacations there, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt decide to buy in 2008 Miraval castle. Located in the Haut Var, this domain bought 35 million euros has 400 hectares of land including an olive grove and 30 hectares of vines. In 2014, Hollywood's most glamorous couple got married in the same Provencal-style chateau. From now on, they decide to part with it for the modest sum of 45 millions of euros !
According to Le Parisien, Angelina Jolie would have tired of this majestic house in which she does not spend much time. Certainly, Brad Pitt reluctantly agreed as he said he now has a passion for viticulture.. He had just started major work to build a gym, a spa, swimming pool, a motorcycle track as well as the expansion of the castle's wine cellar.
In May 2014, he was also on the front page of the specialist magazine Wine Spectator : "I'm a real farmer now. I like to learn things on earth, the fields to cultivate according to the different types of grapes. I like to question myself on the questions of September and October : do we harvest today ? What is the sugar level ? How is the acidity ? Is it going to rain ? It was all a real education for me ”, declared the actor.
Miraval wine
Before becoming the last business of the couple Pitt-Jolie, the estate produced in particular a wine called "Pink Floyd", a wine in tribute to the time when the group came to record their records in the villa.
Miraval sports a bottle whose shape does not go unnoticed in the rays of rosés. This blend of cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah is vinified only in stainless steel vats. Rather unusual thing, the syrah is vinified there by bleeding. The clear juice macerates for a short time, therefore in contact with the skin to provide a more sustained color.. This method gives a wine with more color, more fat and inevitably more volume in the mouth.
In the mouth, the wine develops a beautiful freshness thanks to the citrus and red fruit notes, all underlined by a tasty vegetal frame. A powerful wine, elegant, with a nice refreshing acidity and a hint of minerality which gives it a very pleasant finish.
Is Miraval rosé wine organic ?
By reading this page of the site lsa-conso.fr, one might well believe that Miraval rosé wine is indeed an organic wine. But nay ! Despite what we can read here and there, this rosé is not an organic wine. The grapes grown organically on the estate are actually blended with grapes from other estates that are not necessarily organic.
It's in 2013 that the pink pole was lifted by an American blogger. The Modern Trobadors raised multiple questions in its article in English entitled " The strange case of the Miraval grapes ". Susan Manfull suspected that Miraval had to source from conventional winemakers to maintain production of her rosé. “We really appreciate the Miraval rosé 2012, she explained. We are just curious. ". No answer was given by Miraval.
Even more amazing : the Ecocert certification body, a reference in organic, affirmed to have controlled all "the range of the wines of Miraval", to conclude that "all are certified organic". This claim was subsequently contradicted by Marc Perrin. : "The rosé wine of Miraval is made with the grapes of the domain, but also with other clusters from neighboring estates which, them, are not organic. "

The Perrin family owns Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the most famous estates in the region. The Perrin family is also associated, and as such there is no "Hollywood" salary involved ! The couple share with the Perrin family 50% profits generated by the sale of the estate's wines.

This desire to sell the Miraval property raises several questions. Who will acquire the property ? Will Miraval rosé survive this sale ? What will happen to the Perrin family partnership ?
